Will I work directly with you?
Yes. You will work one-on-one with me for every session. You will never be handed off to a less-qualified tutor.
What is your availability?
I meet with students daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM Central Time to provide maximum flexibility. I typically book appointments 4–5 days in advance; if you reach out early, I can usually accommodate your schedule. By popular demand, I also offer an Early Bird / Night Owl option between 6:00–9:00 AM and 7:00 PM–12:00 AM Central Time for an additional $20 per hour.
I am apprehensive about online tutoring. How does this work and is it effective?
Absolutely. Most students are now comfortable learning online, and I find it to be equally effective as in-person tutoring. Online sessions also add convenience—no commute, consistent scheduling, and the ability to work from the comfort of home.
Do you offer in-person tutoring?
Yes, when scheduling allows. In-person sessions are available for an additional $25 per hour.
Do you work only with students in certain states?
No. I regularly work with students across the United States and around the world.
Do you have any experience working with students with learning challenges?
Yes. Supporting students with learning differences is one of my focus areas. My background in developmental psychology, neuroscience, and clinical psychology informs strategies for common challenges such as executive function, time management, reading comprehension, and sustained focus.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Most families use Venmo or Zelle for convenience. I also accept cash or check. PayPal may be used as well; a small service fee will be applied.
I am interested in working with you, but I don’t know if I can afford it. Do you offer discounts?
I strive to provide expert, personalized tutoring while being mindful of family budgets. If cost is a concern, please contact me directly—we can talk through options and find a plan that works.
What is your cancelation policy?
My cancelation policy:
- If a student wishes to cancel the lesson, he/she must provide notice at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the lesson.
- If a student cancels the lesson between 24 and 8 hours in advance, a cancelation fee of 50% of the lesson cost will be assessed.
- If a student cancels the lesson between 8 and 4 hours in advance, a cancelation fee of 75% of the lesson cost will be assessed.
- If a student cancels less than 4 hours in advance, a cancelation fee of 90% of the lesson cost will be assessed.
- If a student arrives to a lesson more than 15 minutes late, the lesson will be considered canceled and a fee of 100% will be assessed.
My Commitment:
- I value my students' time very highly. Thus, I make every effort to adhere to scheduled lessons. However, if I am more than 20 minutes late, I will discount the lesson and charge only 75% of the scheduled lesson cost.
- If I cancel a lesson with less than 2 hours’ notice, you will not be charged.
